Mother Love

Another ahhhh moment until one realizes they ate part of your new bean row. LOL

Effigy Mounds National Monument is in NE Iowa along the Mississippi River. is amazing artwork done with soil. The mounds preserved here are considered sacred by many Native Americans, especially the Monument's 20 culturally associated American Indian tribes. A visit offers opportunities to contemplate the meanings of the mounds and the people who built them. The 200 plus American Indian mounds are located in one of the most picturesque sections of the Upper Mississippi River Valley.

  6. Awesome photography, Steve. We gone south to Effigy Mounds several time. At our present age though I not sure we could make it to the top of that steep bluff....:)

  7. The babies are cute even if they did eat the beans. I was mowing earlier and kept scaring one out of it's hiding places
