Spring Almost

Give me a hug!
Even when they grow they are still your babies.

Joining a scout hike by accident:
They came out of a conservation building with a lady talking like she might be a docent for nature hikes. I joined in not saying anything to anyone. I stood off and shot some pics before I asked a few questions and found they had attended the previous hourly lectures, and were going out for a hike to get a badge. I returned and heard the next presentation. LOL!!

This tiny Screech Owl has lost an eye so it is used for presentations.

Red-tailed Hawk

This Barn Owl was ready for release, it had been treated for a concussion.

  1. Lovely shots all.

Bison can levy a steely gaze, huh.

  2. That's so cool! We went to a raptor talk a few years ago at the science museum. It was fascinating.

  3. I love that people take care of the injured animals. I wouldn't want to care for the buffalo though. I've been around them as I grew up near a wildlife sanctuary. They are wild and mean and can jump an 8 foot fence.
