Sunday Stroll: Water Gardens And More

A light rain just made everything freshen up. After three days of heat not common for September or fall, I was almost going to take you to the beach.

I am so hungry I could eat a horse. But often on Sunday it is chicken. Join me for a nice Sunday meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, cream gravy, green beans and a salad, mostly from farm to table. My daughter is a good cook and farmers wife.

  1. Love the water lilies. So peaceful to see the combination of water and blossoms. Will link to your stroll when (or if) I manage to sneak one in on a busy day.

  2. Was that you pond as it must be large to have so many different lilies and lotus. I've never grown lotus. In OK, only one wild water lily grows and is yellow. For all my hard work on my pond at the city house, I think my liner has a leak.

  4. First I looked and looked at the pretty yellow color of the flowers on the lily pads. Then I scrolled down and saw that whitest of white blooms on another. Wow. Fried chicken sounds good but I am having breakfast for supper today.

  7. Thank you for your kind comment welcoming back. So nice to view these lovely photos of yours this Sun. afternoon. Glad your weather is still warm enough to ride. It is still very hot in GA; too hot in fact to clean up all the downed trees from hurricane Irma. Fortunately, no damage to our home/yard. Have a nice afternoon - your lunch menu makes me hungry!

  10. The blooms in #6 are so unique. I've never seen anything like them. We're in the middle of a 90+ degree heatwave here, too. I can't remember ever having so many 90-degree days in a row at this time of year. But a cool-down is forecast in a couple of days.
