As Fall Approaches

Today I chased a Tiger Swallowtail
It moved so fast I asked it to hold still
It stopped as if against it's will.

Hummingbird Moth

It is the Goldenrod in bloom followed by Asters that tells me fall is near
Sometimes it is leaves changing into colors so dear
Other times I feel it in my bones, a celebration for the time I was born.

I'm all legs!

Beauty Abounds

Graceful as a big cloud forms
Beauty abounds all over down below
Fantastic to be part of, as it soothes my soul.

My favorite flower today

Dill and zinnias

This Black swallowtail is almost dripping off the tip of this  Butterfly Bush bloom.

And to think I was going to make a chimichuri sauce with some of this parsley this swallowtail caterpillar is eating. That's why I grow lots to share with my butterfly friends.

Sunday Stroll--Sun and Clouds

Great Lobelia
Seems great to me
In true blue elegance.

Resurrection Lily

A castle in the clouds
Oceans of Bluestem grasses
Grow tall as far as you can see
Standing up, almost right before me.

Visit Marcie the originator of Sunday Strolls. Her Quiet Country House in Michigan is always a treat to visit. Today it's edible landscaping.

State Fair

What are you doing out there? Nothing
Lets go to the fair!

More babies
Even more babies
Practice makes perfect
At the lemonade stand, I'll hold the glass
I don't like this as well as the other saddle.

Yea, this is mine
Funnel Cake Madness
Ready for the ring
