Sunday Stroll: On The Prairie Trails


Filling the forest
With a sweet scent
Yet so tiny of a bloom.

Prairie Dog

Catalpa looks like
A large leafed tree 
Covered in orchids.

Red-winged Blackbird
Longhorn

Foxglove
White Wild Indigo
Canadian Anemone
Bobolink

Western Yarrow
Rockrose
Buckeye

  1. You have some familiar things blooming, which are also blooming here, but the prairie dog is a real treat. Don't have any of those here in the Great Lakes. Love your images!

  8. My post today had a blue jay and a red winged blackbird but I'm missing all the other stuff. I don't think we have prairie dogs or longhorn around here but I could probably find a cow and a opossum

  11. Delightful post! I love the prairie dog! We don't have them in Virginia but we have ground hogs, which look similar except really huge!
