Sunday Stroll: Around The Pond

The hot has let up a bit, so it was fun being close to the water looking for treasures.

This is the larvae stage of a dragonfly

I thought this Water Strider had something, but it ended up there was a black wasp under it carrying it. It set it down and flew off maybe to get help. It was able to walk across plants and water for quite some distance.

Visit Marcie the originator of Sunday Strolls. Her Quiet Country House in Michigan is always a treat to visit.

Full Bloom

I was just telling Ann at  Snap Edit Scrap about letting some bird  food grow. Sunflowers around the yard are always cheerful. I think I have a few millet plants also growing.

It is kind of  sneer. I hope it's day gets better.

These Cup and Saucer blooms are 5 ft off the ground on tall plants.
Liatris is called Prairie Shooting Star also. It is a real treat every year to find.

Oregano and Painted Lady Butterfly. It really blends in out amongst the flowers.

Each has it's own charm, and you remember each you photographed when you revisit them.

These squirt guns need more water

"Why are we lighting candles again? We had them last night." ever so frankly. As you may see, he turned four, and has grown up quite a bit. The  hand full of books I brought didn't need a warning of being careful not to tear pages anymore. Cake wasn't even a priority with thoughts of going out to the lake. No rock was left unturned, searching for lost treasures.
