Sunday Stroll in The Arboreteum

Pussy willow, pussy willow
Are you purring at me
Standing tall so purr-fectly.

Elderberry blooms ready to burst into color.
This reminded me of guardian angel pins I gave for gifts.

Color abounds
Ever so slowly
Making my rounds
Out on the prairie.

  1. Good Evening, I hope you have enjoyed this Easter Sunday. Your weather looks similar to ours: a mixture of sun and clouds. I can see everything beginning to bloom and change color there. I've never seen elderberries. The pussy willows sure are pretty too. I hope you will have a nice week.

  2. And the prairie looks beautiful. Our last freeze date has passed and I'm going out to buy annuals tomorrow.

  3. The elderberry blooms caught my eye. It has been so long since I've had elderberry jelly. Now I want some.

  6. Hi Steve - if it slowly rolls out into Spring and full bodied Summer - then it's a deliciously fascinating coming of age - love your photos and the silver birch, the pussy willow and the elderberry blooms - I don't think I'd been aware of them before ... cheers Hilary
