Spring Fling

An old cabin taken off the side of a home, has found a new home and now an office.

Looks like around the Netherlands
Can one ever have enough lilacs. As children we went down the alleys and picked some for our mothers. They don't last long as cut flowers , but sure offer a nice fragrance to your home.

A tiny beauty enjoys flowers and playing in the pond

Gene, I think we may be related. LOL On a gravestone in a small cemetery.

Even the smallest blooms
Can really be the best
Nice fragrance never the less.

  1. Good Morning, That is a great cabin; how nice that it has a new home/use. I love lilacs...am I correct that you have pictured both purple and white lilacs in today's post? Lilacs were a favorite of my mom's. We brought a lilac from our last home when we moved last July. We thought it did not make it BUT just yesterday, we saw new growth! Such a pretty little girl playing beside the pond. I love the blooms and the livestock. It's a beautiful time of year to be out and about.

  3. Hi Steve - cows!! Love the little girl - she's a sweetie - while the flowers aren't bad. Clever use of the lean-to barn - looks a delightful shed ... cheers Hilary

  5. I wait for spring by watching for violets, dandelions, and lilacs to bloom. I saw my first lilacs a couple of days ago.

  7. That first shot of the cabin belongs on a calendar or something like that. It's beautiful. Love all the flower photos, especially #9. And the little girl...I can remember sitting like that. It hurts to think about it now, though. :)

  8. A cabin and a windmill like that one are excellent prizes. The kinds of pictures I like a lot.

  11. I so miss the lilacs. We used to have them when we lived in the Midwest. They were outside the bedroom window and when you opened the windows their fragrance would waft in.
