Sunday Stroll, A Colorful Morning

Come join in on a stroll, or take one and share. Marcie at The Quiet Country House has organized this at https://quietcountryhouse.blogspot.com .

A brown Thrasher makes a quick stop and flies away.
I always like to stop and listen to ths creek. It soothes one's soul, and I left behind a sculpture to remember me by. A reflection of my love for nature.
Chilly mornings makes one think about wearing a coat as these friends have.
Sumac glows

The hills are alive, with sounds of the prairie

Buckeyes

What a great walk, I hope you enjoyed all of the beauty.

  5. Hi Steve - it's turning isn't it ... loved all the photos - the Thrasher is an amazing bird ... so many songs to his name. Buckeyes are our 'conkers' from what we call the Horse Chestnut tree ...

Your sculpture of colours is lovely ... I suppose it'll get washed away once the rains come ... looks a lovely walk.

I wanted to ask the house in the trees ... is it yours (I don't think so - as you have fields/paddocks outside) - or one you pass and see when you're out and about ... lovely setting - cheers Hilary

  11. We had a chestnut tree outside our kitchen window when I was a kid. It was a beautiful tree, and we played with its chestnuts in falls. Great times. Thanks for reminding me. Love your photos. Autumn is a beautiful time of year.

  12. You captured some beautiful fall colors. That first buckeye shot looked to me like a face from outer space. :) The last buckeye shot made me hungry for Christmas treats.
