Around The Pond

Northern Flicker
It is hard being green

Eastern Goldfinch

Giant Swallowtail

A Red-bellied Woodpecker family making the rounds

 Not many hummingbirds left around
Watching this Orb Spider during the rain, it sat in the middle of the web and every so often shook the web to get rid of the weight of the water collected.

  1. The animals are on the move again. It means a change of seasons. I like the differences.

  4. The Flicker is beautiful. Great shot of the hummingbird, too. "It's hard to be green" made me chuckle. My favorite, though, is the next to the last picture, the one of the bee on the purple flower. Gorgeous.

  11. Nothing like a pond nearby to see wild things. Unfortunately our nearest is about 7 miles distant...:)
