Lovely To See The Sun

Baltimore Oriole

The Red-winged Blackbird really puffs up singing out a call.

A new arrival, Pale Indigo
Spiderwort has made the entire prairie purple.

  2. Those red-winged blackbirds do put everything they've got into their call, don't they? That spiderwort is beautiful!

  3. Orioles and black birds are very showy birds. And than you've got some very showy flowers.

  4. I love my clump of spiderwort. and the lovely birds. I just got an indigo plant. I've been watching a male cardinal and his young offspring come to the tea cup. the juvenile sits in the shrub while his dad gets a seed from the cup and then hops over to the youngun and feeds it.

  6. It's always a pleasure to see the sun shining. I've spotted red wing black birds but never long enough to get a picture of them.

  7. You have photographed some of my very favorite birds! Alas we do not have Baltimore orioles in Oregon, but I adored them growing up in Wisconsin. Their nests! And the song of the red winged blackbird is as much of a part of my childhood as anything I can think of.
