A Simple Prairie Life

Two greats, a Great Blue Heron and a Great Egret

It almost becomes a ballet

Meet me at the top

Hey, did you see those frogs run from us?

A touch of fall
A touch of all seasons
Given to us
For all the right reasons.

  1. Hi OOTP .. lovely shots - the 'greats' .. then the ballet ... climbing to the top - presumably for fire watch and reservoir watch? Lovely scenery and flowers, while the muddy frog is amazing .. so well camouflaged ... cheers Hilary

  2. You are a great photographer! If I tried a frog close-up I would get just a blur. I depend 100 percent on the camera, and I am a camera illiterate. By the way, what is that steam shovel up to?

  4. Great catch to find the heron and egret in one place like that. Very cool. But my favourites are the frogs. Great stuff!

  5. The tower looks like an old water tower. If it is, they've made a very good use of it.

  6. With all the rain we have had in this part of the country this year it seems like we have an overabundance of water fowl. I so enjoy looking at your pictures of the prairie.
