  2. You are lucky to have seen that sparrow. I have only seen the White-crowned twice. The White Throat is more common here, where it spends the winter, though yesterday I heard one singing. They will be going north soon.

  8. I went to a tulip festival in Wamego, Ks 3 weeks ago...not a tulip was to be found. So a special thanks! (I finally got a few pics this week...yay!)

  13. Years ago, I planted tulip bulbs in our yard and not a single one returned to bloom this year, so thanks Steve for this views. We have lots of yard tunnelers and I suspect the bulbs were a tasty meal.
