And Then There Were Three

A simple forest becomes a winter wonderland overnight. The snow blankets the land giving it time to rest. I had little dogs walking on all of these logs along a dried stream bed a couple of weeks ago, on a bright sunny day. In fact we did it again in the snow and hiked all over for a few hours. This is a fun place to always discover something new in yourself and the land around you. It always welcomes me to come and see more, out on the prairie.

  1. It looks so cold. Maybe I am just projecting the weather I am feeling to the pictures. Those eagles are beautiful.

  7. A lovely winter wonderland it is. Do you spot these eagles when you're out walking with the dogs? Just curious if you had to keep a close eye on them because a friend of mine who has a yorkie is always worried about the hawks swooping down and grabbing her dog

  8. These smarties sit out there waiting for a dead fish or duck to go floating by.

  12. The eagles are beautiful. I took some pictures of what I think was a bald eagle, but it's not as white on the head as it should be. I may have to keep examining it.
