Ashfall State Park

  1. I loved Ashfall State Park when we visited there two years ago on our road trip.

We will be in Iowa again in September, I think, for a week or ten days. Want to collect 2,000 more miles to qualify for MVP next year again on Alaska Airlines. Plus we saw the planting last time, and we'd like to see the harvest. Plus a few more tombstones and a little genealogical research in Davenport. Where do you live?

  6. That looks like such a neat place. Wish we'd had time to visit when we were in Nebraska last month, but we were only there a couple of days.

  9. Interesting geology. Of course I love the prairie flowers. We stayed in Valentine several times taking the "scenic route" to visit my son in Colorado. We also enjoyed the nearby refuge...:)

  10. I enjoyed this post very much, often thought in my youth I would like to be an archaeologist and still enjoy such things. It's fascinating to me to discover facts from so long ago. Lovely wildflowers too and very enjoyable photos. Have a great weekend Steve :)
