Catalpa in bloom
Currently there are bumper stickers and other things using all the different religious symbols to write these words. This was placed here many years ago as a memorial and I have always liked the thought of one day when we can all coexist in harmony in this world. It is sad what installs hate and misconceptions amongst people.I try to find peace , love and happiness in my life out on the prairie.

When you get closer you can see the facial features were created when this tree absorbed a section of fence when it once grew in a fence row.

Harmony and love
I offer to all of you
Carried on a prairie wind
Across this great land
To worlds all around me.

Hmmmmmm, Back Out On The Prairie

It was one of those powerfully Meadowlark kind of days.

Back Home

A gentle sunset spreads a smile out on the prairie. A few weeks ago I visited the start of the Elkhorn River in Nebraska and jumped across the twin springs.Recently someone tried to swim this channel hundreds of miles downstream here and spring rains had it full to the banks, causing a rescue to help save a couple of swimmers. I recently purchased a third tent that was smaller than my other two and a lot easier to set up by myself.I went to both Two Rivers and Eugene Mahoney State Parks to fish in Nebraska , and fish some more. The fire is getting ready to fix trout and eggs for breakfast.I place a skillet on top of the coals and cook easily. I fished nearly 20 hours in a few days with a good friend. My happiness was shared with all of you on a gentle prairie breeze.

This mallow was all over and a treat to see in mass.

Such simple beauty
Often enjoyed
At days final end
I love to be part of
Out on the prairie.

A Perfect Dozen

Day two found me trying out an outrigger on a historical tour, and going for a dive in the bay a few times.I was surprised how easy it was to paddle the twenty foot outrigger  with two other adults and a ten year old paddling in a relatively calm ocean. One could see fifty feet down and see the white coral that made the sand on the beach. I was only a block away and had to go down a few times a day for  a swim, later getting all the sand off in a hotel pool.
