A Brenda's Photo Challenge: What Do You like About Spring?

Can't pass it up when fishing is this easy. Catching some Rainbow Trout.

Do you know how to find these morel mushrooms? I have been working hard for a few, but they taste the absolute best.

What I like about Spring

Comes to me in a song

A song passing through time

It has been going on and on.
It is the song of life

Building forever with added happiness

Carried out on the prairie

On a gentle Spring breeze.

  1. Wow ! Beautiful morel mushooms ! They are very tasty but very expensive.

  2. The mushrooms and the Dutchman's Breeches take me back to my childhood. We had a woods on our property, where both of these could be found. Of course, violets were there, as well. Happy spring and happy fishing, Steve.

  3. I don't think I've ever seen a yellow violet. Love the little flowers. I don't think morels grow down here. I've never seen one before but every year people post about how wonderful they are.

  4. These are wonderful photo's. Thank you for sharing what you love about spring. :)

  5. I love every shot! Violets are my third favorite wild flower, so dainty! The macro of the mushroom is magnificent! How do you cook them?

How many trout did you catch?

  6. I don't think I've ever seen a Morel mushroom! Neat looking!
    Love all the shots Steve!!

  7. I have always wanted to grow mushrooms. Let me clarify that. I've always wanted to grow edible mushrooms. We do have a few wild kinds, all posonious of course.

  8. Ooh my gosh...I love morel mushrooms. I was out last weekend...all I found was tics - eek!

  9. You've put together a great variety of spring flowers. Surprising how the first flowers are very small.

  10. Those Dutchman's breeches are soooo cute. Thanks for the reminder to wander around looking for mushrooms.

  11. Wonderful photos Steve, I hope your fishing brought you supper and I have never seen morels except in pictures. They are such a fascinating structure for a mushroom.

  12. I couldn’t begin to tell you what I like about spring.

    I am drunk with it.

  13. It is finally spring where I live. I love the different birds singing in the morning. The grass that needs to be mowed. The coat in the closet instead of on my body. The sun, the sun, the sun!

  14. Gosh, Steve - these morel mushrooms are exquisite. Not being familiar with them, I wonder how big they are? They beg to be drawn!

Keep it positive and informative,I enjoy hearing from you!
