A Personal Brenda Photo Challenge

Cardinal Rule

Cardinal in a Moon Vine

This last snow gave a nice dusting to show how nice these Loess Hills really are.It can be some rugged climbing in quite a few places. The town I live in is on the back of these hills and a flat yard a rarity.
A castle built to host weddings and parties up in those hills. Looking from the top west is the Missouri  River.

  4. Well Steve, I must say you killed two birds with one stone...Hahahaaa....
LOVE the shots but it amazes me how people manage to capture a bird! I NEVER can!
Can you go check your link on Brendas Photo Challenge? It wouldn't let me onto your site. I had to go to my link on my blogroll...
    Happy Weekend!

  5. How appropriate, as the Cardinals begin to meet you give us the real pure Cardinal. I love their song. I have one here in Ames but, alas, my camera is not good enough to capture the shots you have. Soon our state will shed its winter cloak and begin to put its green dress on. Can't wait and I am looking forward to seeing some more Out on the Prairie. Thanks

  6. Beautiful shots of the cardinals, Steve. Soon their songs will be ringing through our trees. Our most recent snowfall (probably the last we'll get for the season) should all melt off tomorrow with warm temperatures and rain. Spring will be here before we know it.

  10. That is a beautiful cardinal. I wasn't quite sure if they frequented this part of the country. I haven't seen one in awhile. I'll be watching for them now.
