Sunlight reflecting
On the hills all around me
Sunlight reflecting
As far as I can see.
Field Of Geese, and Two Little Burros
Not one to pick up and cuddle
Or even expect it to play
This wild kitty is holding its ground
Hunched as if to say
It isn't going to be pretty
So leave me alone
I'm steadfast here
As if made of stone.
Glad you had a little sunshine. Could you send me some?....lol
ReplyDeleteThe burrows look like two friends out for a casual stroll.
I so love that first photo. I will never leave the Black Hills, but I miss hearing and watching the geese fly over. Once in a while they fly over the hills, but only at night.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise photos and cool barn. Poor wild kitty. It can be a difficult life out there, all alone
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures accompanied with some thoughtful prose. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteAll photos are certainly controlled by sunshine. I like the plants with the seed heads and shadows they make. Typical winter gray. I like the landscape shots.
ReplyDeleteI know your feeling, Steve... After so much rain, clouds, mud, ice, etc.----we finally got some sunshine here on Saturday... Even though it was cold, that sun felt so good.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures... Love seeing the sun's reflections...
Have a great week.
Betsy
I missed your lovely poetic thoughts, Steve.
ReplyDeleteI especially enjoyed this collection Steve. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to watch the sun rise higher in the sky and move north day by day as winter moves through its various stages. It is the sun that also gives me hope, not that I do not like winter, but simply because it is there, shining endlessly for all of us to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWow! It IS sunshine!!Hahaa...Love the shots...and the Kitty really is pretty!
ReplyDeletehughugs
I love that shot with the burros and the geese!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of those geese to fly through your first photo for you! Love that old barn in the last.
ReplyDeleteI love this serie, Steve, specially the barn !
ReplyDeleteOh the sun it looks lovely from where I am in cold windy Cornwall. The old barn is particularly intriguing I would want to peep inside.
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty, pretty!
ReplyDeleteAn adorable collection of photos that show us about our landscape and things in it. Nice post. Really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteRemember that today is making tomorrow's history.
Nice series. Love the barn. Wonder if the kitty is a resident?
ReplyDeleteSteve, what you don't seem to have anymore is snow and neither do we. But we have had very mild temps in the 60s this week. However gusty winds and overnight rains are coming so no sunshine here for the next couple of days.
