  2. spring has definitely made it up to you. I've been hearing about morels for years but never seen one. I guess they don't grow this far south.

  13. Loved these pictures. I've never tasted a morel, I bet those taste divine. I don't think I have ever met a mushroom I didn't like. Graziano's Italian Sausage and Morels? Sounds like a gastronomic delight. Hope your Easter was a beautiful one.

  15. I was so expecting nature shots that I thought the Italian sausage was a snail! :)

Lovely pictures, as ever. I enjoyed the ginger and white cat delicately sniffing a daisy, and was most intrigued by those crinkly mushroom type things. Are they morels? I've never heard of them before!

  16. I ate morels for the first time last year and thought I'd died and gone to heaven. They are too delicious for words. Hope you had a great Easter!

(lberville and Bienville weren't soldiers for hire. They had the money/backing for exploration and took it from there.)

  17. You are months ahead of us as far as Spring goes. Wow, you sure have a lot of green and flowering plants! I haven't found any morels in this area. I think our soil is too acidic. I really wish we had some of these!
