Brenda Photo Challenge-Temptation

When I see a flock passing by
I often stop and stare.
I love to think I could be one of them
Going to who knows where.
If I see that herd roaming
Graceful as can be.
Temptation is everywhere
In a simple dream to be.
I am at one with the world around me
Out on the prairie.

It is so nice to have direction each month to follow on a blog post, see more at :

Grey Tree Frog

Dames Rocket

 A tiny point
From arrows head
Edges still sharp
For over a century
On ground once tilled
Found in a new burn
Out on the prairie.

Blue-eyed Grass

Ground Plum, a nice hiking treat to eat

Flower of the Ground Plum

 Hoary Puccoon

A narrow trail
Sets me free
Free to explore
The very tops
Of the hills around me
Out on the prairie.

It was made into a song

I closed my eyes and heard that song out on the prairie. That song of life as it floats over the plains. It helps share the spirit that ebbs from the land and graces all who come out to enjoy it. It always stays with me when I hike, a shared happiness while we both visit the land.Another experience carried on a gentle prairie breeze, an added harmony to that lovely song.

Along the river

 Cottonwoood bloooms
Along the river
Fluff and stuff
All over the bank.

 Missouri River

A leaf mimic perhaps?
