A Saturday Full Of Fun

A parade for the Knoxville Sprint Car Championships. These little cars only have a door on the front.Their owners were a group of Shriner's. A fun little extra when I was only going to the Farmer's Market.

 Monarch Butterfly

A tough looking crowd. I shot an outing prepared by the Corp of Engineers every Saturday with free kayaks and canoes. I  do have a little experience in both.

Join me at the beach
Not much of a crowd

I think it was Donna who asked if I fished at all. I went through 180 worms this last run.

A few of these look like they could be in a fishbowl if they weren't over 2 lb or 1 kilo

Saving my favorite until last. The colors were so fun on this carp, it's back was an iridescent green. After I threw it back I thought I perhaps should have asked for three wishes.

  10. Hi Steve, I knew you were a fisherman... Glad to see some of your catches. My Daddy loved to fish--but seldom caught anything...

Sounds like you had a good day at the parade and farmers market.

Oh that beach is calling my name.... Where are the people???? That's the kind of beach I love .. AND--look at that sunset. Wow!

  11. Your first image makes me laugh. It reminds me of my friend's mother when we were kids. She had a yellow car like that. She was driving around while we were sitting in her lap.

  20. Wonderful saturday, Steve !
    Sunsets are very beautiful.
    Nice shot of the Monarch.
I think the little car was made in Italy (May be Trade FIAT).

  22. A great variety of photos, thanks Steve. My sister used to have a little Fiat that small. I remember riding in it all the time around those country lanes in England, but when she used to get on the motorway, oh boy it was a little hair raising, especially when all the big semi's used to barrel on by! Thanks for stopping with your good wishes after our earthquake, and for identifying my fiery skipper. I'm glad to know what it is.
