Now and Again

Now and again
I feel this way
And have always
Treasured the moment

But it’s richness
Is fulfilled
Being with you.

This is where I sometimes pull out with my kayak, there is a steep bank at the edge of the trees about ten foot(3.3m) followed by a gentle bank close to the same height. As you see it is really high here on the river and would be a catastrophe to maneuver very well. Yesterday I had to wait until 10am to get out of my street, many roads are getting closed.

A direct familiarity formed the first time he heard her voice. The connection existed long before it seemed. It is a direction we all seek to find, but often become lost in our quest. His heart pulled during the wait for a first meeting, a long drive, but he had to be there. Follow your heart and it shall lead you into a fuller life he thought. He was breathless when she met them, he had chosen a proper path he felt. It was to be a meeting of the minds, an evening of board games and cards. The group was a good mix of personalities, and time was swept by with the continuum of happiness found in this new group. She gazed at him with the most beautiful eyes and smile, her thoughts carried like a flowery melody found on the prairie. It began to gently brake on a gentle prairie breeze carried out over the lake.
.
The next morning four of them took a road trip for shopping. Something again new to try, which one should never pass up in life. He watched her every movement, her gentle soul meeting up with his, and their hands touched. They held on to each other, finding a part of their hearts they felt they needed to explore and share. Moments like this are to be treasured; a secure feeling with one’s existence letting us know we are strong yet so fragile. The ride back was swept quickly down the highway, into the heavens. They talked, they compared, and they shared deep from within their hearts and soul, an intermingling of thoughts and beliefs.
.
He kept on with that quest of love, never hearing the song drifting around him on the prairie. Give it time, she whispered in his ear, and he took his time. When it is time it will happen. He listened harder, sometimes hearing a chant in words he did not know, but began to understand. His thoughts often soared into the stars, sharing with them all of his wishes. They smiled with a twinkle in their eye, knowing all that would still be in store for him. He held his hands up, asking for continued happiness for all those he loved and knew. A cool breeze kissed him on the ear, carrying with it, all of his thoughts of love, and shared them with all that listened on the prairie.

Sorry for the flooding. Nothing here, we have had no rain for one month.
    Beautiful story.
You can see my pond very soon. It is pear shaped and is 19 yards length and 6.50 yard width.

  9. Lovely photos as always - that water really does look high. Keep safe - maybe a kayak is the best way to get around the prairie right now.

  10. What is the flower in the first photo, it's beautiful,I agree, please be careful in that water, I've lived by flooding rivers in the past and sometimes they can change current direction unexpectedly.
