Enjoy Summer

When I got up today, I thought should I work or play?

The chant coming across the prairie is very strong, come enjoy our beauty, it won't take long.

Through the night the storms growled and roared, sending down sheets of rain, the river level soared.

We live with that, it never seems to change, vicious weather cycles aren't new or strange.

When it is all over the land smiles even though some of us are drenched to our knees. That smile spreads curing all ills, on a gentle prairie breeze.
